A personalized gift is much more than just a nice present. It is a gesture full of attention, emotion, and meaning. While standard gifts are often quickly forgotten, a personal gift lingers because it touches, surprises, and connects.
Personalization has a major impact not only in the private sphere (B2C), but also in the business world (B2B). A personalized promotional gift or greeting card shows that you value your employees or customers. It strengthens your brand identity and creates a positive, lasting impression. A name, logo, or personal message makes the difference between a nice gesture and a memorable gift.
Database functionality
Printess database functionality Printess be used for a wide range of powerful options. One of these options is linking a so-called 'Form Field' to a visual object in the design. A Form Field is a field in the database that can contain various types of information, such as a drop-down list, icons, or simple text. A visual object can then be linked to the content of this Form Field. A visual object is, for example, a line of text in a specific font, font size, color, and style. Because the database field is linked to the visual object, the visual object automatically changes every time the content of the Form Field changes. It may sound complex, but it isn't. The image below from the Printess Backend shows a simple example.
- On the left side, the Form Field NAME is visible, currently containing two records: Think Personal Printess as a very random example...).
- In the middle of the Backend, a photo of a strawberry cake with the linked visual object, in this case the selected text "Think Personal;
- The content of this object is visible on the right-hand side. In this case, it is not the text but a formula ${data.name} that refers to the relevant database record.
These functions, including filling in records, can be accessed in the Online Editor the visitor/customer is working. See the image below.

Multiple output documents
The visitor/customer can easily enter the desired information, such as first names, from the Editor . A new design is automatically generated for each record that is added. Once the order is finalized, for example after payment, all files are automatically generated in high resolution. In the case of 25 names, the output file contains 25 individual designs/pages. And in the case of 5,000 names, 5,000 individual designs/pages.
TIP: In the case of larger amounts of data, these do not need to be entered manually. They can also be uploaded in one go via a JSON file.
Endless possibilities
This powerful functionality is ideal for hyper-personalizing greeting cards, B2B invitations to trade shows or seminars, anniversaries, or other business events. Of course, it can also be used for B2C purposes, such as parties or weddings. But don't just think of greeting cards. In principle, any possible output file can be generated for any item. From T-shirts to mugs and from key rings to cookies.
